What’s scarier than Lebron James in a movie? Perhaps (and there’s no telling at this point), Lebron James’ new project as a producer: The latest reboot of the Friday the 13th franchise. It’s no surprise that Jason is getting yet another resurrection — at least not after the recent Halloween reboot, on which actor Danny McBride was a collaborator, just destroyed the box office, breaking multiple records. Can the next masked, silent psychopath have a similar resurgence? We’ll have to wait till at least 2019 to find out.

Maybe just as scary is the new plan to digitally preserve actors going forward so they can essentially live forever on screen and star in roles long after they’re dead. Weird, or just the norm for 2018? We’ll also be talking about the weak-sauce weekend box office, AApple’s rumored plans for global streaming, the shocking Netflix cancellations, Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio musical, and much more.
